Chuck & Joyce Harper
Missionaries in Santa Elena, Honduras

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:15
We are thankful and excited to announce that we will have new missionaries in the field in Honduras in 2010. Chuck and Joyce Harper and their three children have been called to serve God through Mission On The Move. They are now in Missionary school in Colorado and will be entering language school in Costa Rica in April. They will study for one year in a school that prepares people to teach and preach the Word in the Spanish language. Chuck and Joyce are from Colquitt, Georgia and members of the Colquitt UMC.
The Harpers have always had a special love and desire to work with people in need, especially children. They have opened their home to many needy children and adults over the years. They have fed, clothed and shared the Gospel, bringing many to the Lord. Joyce says “ We have not kept up with the number of children that have come through our home but I do know that one summer, I was cooking and washing clothes for fourteen. We just took what God brought our way and have been blessed because of it”.
Joyce and Chuck have been married for twenty-six years. They have five children, two biological and three adopted. Tiffany is 25, married with one child and another on the way. Lindsey is 22, married with two boys Michael is 15, excellent student and is excited about the mission field. Michelle is 13, a special needs child (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome), functions analytically at six years old. In other areas, she is delayed very little. She loves new people and places. Layne is 5 and full of life. She is very excited about their future. Please pray for them as they begin their journey. If you would like to support the Harpers, please mark you donation "Harpers" before sending in to the office.
